how to cook beans 🫘

  1. Place dried beans in a large pot.
  2. Add cold water until it's about 2 inches above the top of the beans. You don't want them to dry out when cooking.
  3. Cover and bring to boil over medium high heat
  4. Remove from heat and let rest 1 hour.
  5. Stir in salt and any other flavourings.
  6. With their soaking water bring them to boil over medium heat.
  7. Uncover and reduce heat, simmer until tender and creamy.
  8. Check every now and then, adding more water as necessary. Probably 1-1½ hours.
  9. You can freeze for up to 6 months, or keep in airtight container in fridge for 5 days.
