back

will in time

2 minute read

I'm openly admitting to completely forgeting about this journal over the last few days. It's okay, I'm here now. I will once again not be recapping the rest of my trip. Hold strong reader, I will in time.

being back

It's so easy to slot back into where I was before. The bean bag holds space in my form when I get up. But things have changed! You never swim in the same river twice! How can I honour my change? How can I move forward, continue to grow?

Have I changed? I am more confident in myself now, I speak better spanish, anything else?

Reading it now, that's more than enough. Anything else really requires a point of comparison that I don't have. I didn't to a personal audit before the trip (might have been a good idea?)

It will take a focussed effort to continue speaking spanish well, and hopefully go further.

work work work

Started a new job yesterday, really excited to be in the team. I'm working in a really fresh new UX team, we even have a UX researcher. This is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to get into!

I'm really motivated to learn a lot and grow. I've become the corporate shill I always feared.

Honestly though, talking to CC about their job inspired me to try a little harder in my career. It's not bad to try to be good at something, and this is something I actually enjoy (programming, UX testing). There is a lot I can learn that may do good.

may do good

Good things about being back are

speaking of are.na, I recommended it to a friend recently with a few channels and people to follow. Here they are:

Y estes son perfiles que sigo que son buenos:

what else?

I started watching a series about chimpanzees last night, Chimp Empire. "Exploring the fascinating world of the largest chimpanzee society ever discovered as they navigate complex social politics, family dynamics and dangerous territory disputes."

I found this article I need to finish reading, I also really like it's graphic design. It's similar to this journal, but a little more refined. I have some changes to make on this journal: Parsing Text using DSL Grammar
