a different metric

2022-12-13

2 minute read

I took awhile to get started on any project work yesterday, did a little errand running in the morning. I picked up a package from the post office, and finally mailed a bunch of zines to NZ.

after that, conjugations

I'm moving towards showing a full verb card, practically making a sub par conjugação.com.br. It's rare that I want to see more than one verb at a time, so as far as an mvp goes I think this is best. I fully intend to support collections and exports, but as I mentioned before, I get carried away imagining all kinds of functionality before testing any of it.

I was a little disparaging at the start of this paragraph, it's not a "sub-par" version of conjugação.com.br, it's just got a different metric. While """.com.br shows you everything about the verb on the page, all I'll be showing is the conjugations, all together, for now.

Here are the new wireframes, if you do know me I'd love to hear your thoughts: a verb conjugation chart on with a minimal black white and grey design landing page for conjugação project, minimal black and white design

knock off early

after only a few hours designing and coding I cut loose and made dinner. I'd fed my sourdough starter (recently named Picollo) and then given the discard a mini feed and left them both by the element to warm. I mixed the fed discardinto a dough and used it to make a couple of pizza bases, had on of them for dinner last nigth. It worked surprisingly well for such a quick turn around! Nice and fluffy, but not so flavourful nor chewy as I'd love. I think the poolish method is the best, I'll need to do it again.

I put ham, cheese, mushroom, cherry tomatoes, onion, and pineapple on this pizza. It was a good combo. I watched an episode of Andor while I ate.

I thought a bit more about how I'd structured conjugação, decided I want a cleaner interface for the verb information. It would be easier to test and easier to work with.

work news

I've got a chat with a recruiter later today. I'm not applying with much gusto at the moment, pretty happy moving forwards with the projects I've got for now, but as I mentioned in another post - it's good to keep the practice up. It'll be good to hear what they're after, I'll write a list of questions today and post them here tomorrow.
