which questions are unanswerable?

2 minute read

Missed two days, making and prepping for zinefest. It was good, it went well. I'll do a bigger writeup about it later, I'm still quite busy atm. I have a long form interview with a recruiter coming up that I want to get ready for, and I've got some salads to make for tomorrow.

not to my taste

Zinefest did go well, but I feel strange about it. I can't put my finger on what it is, but there's a weird feeling in my body about it. Maybe the comedown after putting a lot of work into it? Maybe that it wasn't so busy as the last one I went to, idk. I feel like I'm coming up for a break. Maybe I just didn't like the other zines I found? There were a lot I didn't like, and didn't know how to deal with that. I know mine aren't to many people's tastes either, both the artistic ability and the general content. Perhaps I ought to be more honest - "It's not to my taste" - but how to say that without being an asshole?

I just read about the opponent process theory related to colour and emotion, another lens to attempt to frame an idea, to attempt to understand the world.

attempt to understand, what else

I finished "The Left Hand of Darkness", a good read/listen

“To be an atheist is to maintain God. His existence or his non existence, it amounts to much the same, on the plane of proof. Thus proof is a word not often used among the Handdarata, who have chosen not to treat God as a fact, subject either to proof or to belief: and they have broken the circle, and go free. To learn which questions are unanswerable, and not to answer them: this skill is most needful in times of stress and darkness.” ― Ursula K. Le Guin, The Left Hand of Darkness

“But it doesn't take a thousand men to open a door, my lord."
"It might to keep it open.”
― Ursula K. Le Guin, The Left Hand of Darkness
