Eels are very powerful

weather report
It's meant to rain around the middle of the day, easing back in the evening. High of 18.
I'll go climbing in the evening, and pass by the supermarket to pick up things for a BBQ tomorrow. I'm going to make another focaccia, as usual.
I'm trying this out, with the weather report, because of all the reasons I talked about last entry, and also because I cronically do not check the report and end up dressed wrong or caught in the rain.
one of those days
I feel like I'm struggling to prioritise things. Everything feels urgent, nothing gets done.
something gets done though
I cleaned up conjugação and pushed my changes into github, so that I could work on it on my iMac. I think using versioning is important not only because it lets me share things easily between devices, but it forces concrete changes to be committed to the work and documented when they are.
I also designed the screens a little more, to add a couple of features:
- x to remove verbcard
- lock to pin it in place (I couldn't find a pin icon in the free icon set and I don't care to design one at this point)
I'm desperate to just finish this and move on, I don't like that it's taking me time. This is the way with all things new, and practice will in time bring speed.
I also started implementing the new return.horse designs. I was sitting in the lounge chatting, so it took a little longer than I think a simple html css implementation should take.
self esteem is low today
I need to get some exercise, this usually helps.
I can't believe it's already the 14th!
Busy day ahead,
- I need to get some zines ready
- buy new journals
- buy yellow paper
- Start the bee zine
- Plan the pig zine finish
- Reply to the recruiter
- Implement conjugação changes
I'm already feeling stressed and anxious about it. This is no good. No more caffiene today.
what else?
- I got distracted while writing trying to make something in orca

I reached level 6 in Brogue this morning.
My approach so far is
- I collect every potion and scroll on the first level
- Once I've cleared the level I get on 100% health
- Then try every scroll - they are usually safe and the bad ones can usually be waited out in the safe level
- Then I try every potion - this can go badly but usually, at this point, you survive, and some of them are good. If you have used a scroll of reveal magic then don't quaff the bad ones.
- Use darts to kill bloats - you're more likely to clear their death radius, and maybe catch other enemies in the cloud.
- Fight in a single corridor if you can, this reduces the hits you can take.
- If you're close to death and you have some mystery potions then just start drinking them - you never know what could help.
- Free chained up goblins if you can, they sometimes appear on level 3 or 4 and serve as ally's
- Avoid toads if possible, the hallucinations are annoying.
- Be wary of other creatures triggering traps
- Eels are very powerful, be careful around water
The weather looks awesome, I'm going to bike into town now to get stuff
Might as wrap up the journal too.
