my heart down under, my guts in bali
1 minute read
I'm back in casa Jolimont, arriving just after 10am yesterday. Still a little tired but mostly good. Guts still a little unstable, will keep monitoring. Spent the last day at a luxury beach club, it was amazing.
Im a gamer now
I played a bit of Doukutso cavestory on the plane when I couldn't sleep, I'm way better at games now! Played some Zelda when I got home and felt much more confident using my shield to knock back guardian shots - even though I died heaps.
The Simpons
I was thinking about the simpsons a lot while away, so I watched a whole bunch last night. Season three, lots of great episodes. It reminds me to trust my own humour and make some more funny cartoons.
Not much self reflection, not much to say
Coming back from a holiday I feel ready to double down on my short term goals and routines.
I'm going to do one of the free computer science courses, I think this one -> https://teachyourselfcs.com/, though I will likely have to get a job before I finish going through it, this is fine.
I'm excited to get back to the climbing wall, it's raining today so probably tomorrow morning I'll check it out.
It was nice to do yoga again this morning.
Zinefest coming up in a month and a half, I'm excited to make a couple of comics for it.
We've got the path towards form meeting coming up next weekend too, exciting! I need to have something ready, I expect 1x draft comic and 1x piece of writing. I will go over everything I read in Bali and collate a list of inspiration and ideas.
what else?
I'm still blown away how good Un Verano Sin Ti is.
questions
I read over some of the older questions and I actually like how they were and what they said, so:
- what do I learn from being away?
- what do I learn from coming home?
