It's been slow going on forge, been busy, doing what?? Thankfully I've been keeping my bullet journal up to date, and I can see that for the last 10 days I've been busy with the following:

where cowboy thoughts burn hot

I have also made small progress on forge - I'm loading in the post archives now and you can select them to edit. Next I need to:

weave to me, weave through me

I've bought a bunch of small nails and some sandpaper, I'm going to make a loom out of a cheap frame from a canvas I got from a sip-and-paint night. Tried to print off On Weaving by Anni Albers but I messed up the booklet printing and had to cancel after printing 75 single sided pieces on the work printer. Ive been doodling concepts for a new piece, I'd like to make it very cartoony. I'm inspired by this are.na channel of cartoony images and pictorial Coptic Tapestries.

This is my favourite concept so far:

metacognition

I had a psyc appointment earlier this week, metacognition came up a lot. I read about Takuboku Ishikawa today. Robert Pulvers writes.

“Takuboku wrote that poetry itself was a report in detail of changes in an individual’s emotions. His diaries and his poetry are permeated with a sincere and searching self-examination.”

Looks like I've got new aspirations for these journal entries, I would be delighted to practice sincere and searching self-examination, though it may require more honesty than I'm as of yet comfortable putting into writing. With time and practice we will see.
